At MUMA, whānau comes first. Our mission is to work with families to help them take advantage of all the opportunities available. Our integrated approach means you get the right advice, and access to the right services, when you need it most – right here in your community. Here are some of our services that you can access:

Whānau Services

We provide essential services and wrap-around support to whanau.  For example, our Whānau Ora, Kotahitanga, and Foodbank services help whānau in times of need.

MUMA’S trained facilitators provide support to whanau on matters arising from the Justice system. Contact us if you need help.

He Poutama Rangatahi

MUMA runs a youth employment programme that is aimed at getting Maori youth into jobs. Rangatahi on this programme, and their whānau, have access to MUMA’s wrap around services and the cultural support of Ngā Whare Waatea.

Connect To Culture

We run weekly Te Reo Māori classes at Nga Whare Waatea marae. We are passionate about our language and invite all within our community to join us for free classes.

MUMA Health

We are in the process of establishing a full GP service at Nga Whare Waatea Marae. Right now, we are running vaccination clinics and more service offerings will be available in the coming months. Keep a watch out for our health notices.
